Prerequisites
- Optional capability: enable only when in scope (otherwise hide via Tracker visibility).
- Know how finance wants rate dollars split (ownership / maintenance / fuel / other).
- Plan the company default breakdown code before rate setup.
- Department credit accounts for breakdowns will be mapped on EM Departments.
Vista configuration article
See the detailed Vista guide:
Configuring EM Revenue Breakdown Codes
Field meanings and form steps live there. Do not restate them on this page.
Implementation guidance
- What they are: revenue breakdown codes are a subset of revenue codes. They let the client break out equipment revenue so it can be compared more closely to cost.
- Standard example: operating versus ownership. The client can see how much revenue relates to operating the equipment and how much relates to owning it.
- Typical setup: most clients have just one revenue breakdown code unless they have that explicit need.
- Decide / load / accept: decide whether the client needs more than one breakdown code, key them, and accept with the Controller.
Done when
- In-scope setup for this action is loaded (or explicitly N/A / hidden when optional and out of scope).
- Owner accepts the decide/load result for go-live.
- Linked Vista configuration matches what was accepted.
