EM Shops

Company Tracker action: implementation-setup-em-shops Milestone: Equipment Management / Module Setup (milestone_id=15, core_milestone_id=2) Order: 7 Estimated duration: 0.5 hours Typical owner: Controller

Purpose

Complete the Equipment Management Module Setup action for EM Shops so decide/load/accept is clear before live EM. Form field detail stays on the Vista article.

Prerequisites

  • Know which physical shops (or mobile shops) will own work orders.
  • If parts are tracked in Inventory, have the IN company and location ready.
  • If shop-based work-order numbering is desired, enable it in EM Company Parameters first.

Vista configuration article

See the detailed Vista guide:

Setting Up EM Shops

Field meanings and form steps live there. Do not restate them on this page.

Implementation guidance

  • What they are: shops are another identifier that can be assigned to equipment. They're mainly used when the client has internal mechanics doing maintenance, and they flow into the work order setup.
  • Implementation priority: not that important for implementation. Set them up if the client has shops.
  • Decide / load / accept: if the client has internal shops, key them and accept with the owner. Otherwise mark this action N/A.

Done when

  • In-scope setup for this action is loaded (or explicitly N/A / hidden when optional and out of scope).
  • Owner accepts the decide/load result for go-live.
  • Linked Vista configuration matches what was accepted.
