Purpose
Complete the Equipment Management Module Setup action for EM Warranties so decide/load/accept is clear before live EM. Form field detail stays on the Vista article.
Prerequisites
- Optional capability: enable only when in scope (otherwise hide via Tracker visibility).
- Equipment (and component sequence when warrantying a component/part) exists in EM Equipment.
- Have period and start date, or start and expiration, plus any AP invoice and install date your process stores.

Implementation guidance
- Optional: warranties are an optional configuration.
- More transactional than setup: if the client has active warranties on equipment, this lets them record those warranties in the system so they can act on them. The system has no functions that act on warranties for them.
- Decide / load / accept: if the client wants to record active warranties, enter them and accept with the owner. Otherwise mark this action N/A or hide it in the Tracker.
Done when
- In-scope setup for this action is loaded (or explicitly N/A / hidden when optional and out of scope).
- Owner accepts the decide/load result for go-live.
- Linked Vista configuration matches what was accepted.
