Managing EM Work Order Parts Status
Field meanings and form steps live there. Do not restate them on this page.
Implementation guidance
- Starter set: Issued, Ordered, Received, Invoiced, Completed. This is a suggested starter list, not statuses Vista ships with.
- How it works: you assign a parts status on each parts line when posting or editing parts on a work order. There's no required order between statuses, none is marked required, and there's no default or beginning parts status.
- Limits: codes are up to 10 characters and descriptions up to 30.
- Decide / load / accept: agree one list with the shop, key it, and accept with the Controller.
Tips and gotchas
- Keep a single list per shop. Mixing in other terms like In Stock or Waiting makes the reports confusing.
Done when
- In-scope setup for this action is loaded (or explicitly N/A / hidden when optional and out of scope).
- Owner accepts the decide/load result for go-live.
- Linked Vista configuration matches what was accepted.
