Design and Approve Code Formats

Use Code Format Generator to design and approve Vista datatype code-format masks for the current Mission Control team. The same tool is embedded in Playbook Code Format Design.

Approving a format persists to the team (default on this page). Unapprove returns it to pending.

For the Playbook stage path, see Complete the Code Format Design stage.

Empty main state: No Format Selected until you pick a format (or open Summary when everything is approved).

Design and approve a format

  1. Select a format in the left list.
  2. Set Final Format (and related fields/examples for that datatype).
  3. Fix validation before approve. Invalid masks show Invalid - Must End With "N" (and similar) until corrected.
  4. Click Approve (row becomes Approved). Toast confirms save/pending as applicable.
  5. Repeat, or use Approve All for remaining valid formats (partial success reports formats that still need fixes).

When every format is approved, the sidebar shows All Approved and you can open Summary.

Examples and import/export

  1. In the format workspace, use example views such as Table / Report and Add Example.
  2. Use Reset to default rows or Clear all rows when you need a clean example set.
  3. Import from Excel opens Import Example Rows (Excel) (replace or append) → Import.
  4. Export to Excel downloads the workbook for the team formats.
  5. From Summary (when available): Export CSV and Generate PDF (Exporting… while running).
