Maintain DAM Users

Use User Setup to maintain the DAM user roster. These users appear as rows on User Roles, Company Access, and PR Group Access.

This page does not assign roles or company/PR access. It only maintains who exists in DAM.

Grid​

Columns:

  • VPUserName — Vista username key
  • Full Name

Use Search / Clear Filters to find users.

Add a user​

  1. Click Add User.
  2. Enter VPUserName and Full Name.
  3. Click Add.

Import users (CSV / XLSX)​

  1. Click Import Users.
  2. In Import Users (CSV/XLSX), upload a .csv, .xlsx, or .xls file.
  3. Optionally enable Replace users (see warning below).
  4. Click Import.

Without replace, new users are added. With replace, existing DAM users are replaced from the file.

Refresh users from Vista Configs​

  1. Click Refresh Users.
  2. Read the dialog: users come from the list already synced in Vista Configs (not a live Viewpoint pull from this button alone).
  3. Leave Replace users off to refresh/merge, or turn it on only when you intend a full replace.
  4. Click Refresh.

Refresh Users updates the DAM catalog. It is not the same as Run Sync on Security Exports & Syncs.

Replace users (destructive)​

On Refresh Users, enabling Replace users shows:

Replacing users will wipe all existing user role and company assignments before loading the refreshed users.

Import with Replace users also runs replace mode. Prefer leave replace off unless you plan to rebuild assignments afterward on User Roles and Company Access.

Delete users​

  1. Click Delete Users.
  2. Filter/select users (Select all / Clear as needed).
  3. Confirm with Delete selected.

Deleting users also deletes their role assignments for the team (dialog note). Re-add the user later if you still need them in assignment matrices.
