Configure Azure Bridge in Team Settings

Use this guide to set up or update your team's Azure Bridge connection in TUDS. Azure Bridge is TUDS-hosted — you do not install bridge or tray software in your environment.

Who should use this article​

  • Team captains and IT admins configuring Vista SQL connectivity.
  • Implementation or support team members helping with Azure Bridge setup.

Before you begin​

  • Confirm you have captain or admin access to Team Settings in Mission Control.
  • Collect the SQL Server host, port, database name, and SQL credentials.
  • Identify any customer-side network approvals or allowlisting required for the SQL connection path.

Configure Azure Bridge​

  1. Open Mission Control → Team Settings → Connectors.
  2. Select the Azure Bridge tab.
  3. Enter the SQL Server connection details and credentials.
  4. Save the configuration.
  5. Run the connection test from the Azure Bridge tab.
  6. Confirm at least one real TUDS workflow that depends on Azure Bridge succeeds.

Expected outcome: Azure Bridge is configured, the connection test passes, and a real workflow succeeds end to end.

After setup​

  1. Review connection status on the Azure Bridge tab.
  2. Confirm SQL credentials and network approvals remain valid after any infrastructure changes.
  3. Re-run the connection test after updating SQL connection details.

Common gotchas​

  • Missing network approval: connection tests may fail until customer-side allowlisting is complete.
  • SQL permissions: the SQL account needs least-privilege access for the workflows your team uses.
  • Stale credentials: update the SQL username or password in Team Settings when they change — credentials are stored securely in Azure Key Vault.
