Run the Implementation Playbook

Use Implementation Playbook to walk one company through the W.A.T. stages. This guide covers company selection, stage navigation, step controls, and exports—not the work inside each stage.

Where: Mission Control → W.A.T. ImplementationsImplementation Playbook
Route: /missioncontrol/implementations/playbook

For what to do inside a stage, use the stage guides linked from W.A.T. Implementations Workflow. For milestones and actions outside the Playbook, use Manage companies, milestones, and actions.

Stages need a selected company (except the first-run Onboarding welcome). Selecting a non-Onboarding stage without a company shows Select a company first.

First run (no company yet)

If Onboarding is not finished and no company is selected, you see Welcome to the Implementation Playbook.

  1. Click Get started.
  2. The Playbook creates company context and opens the real Onboarding steps (not a separate create-company modal).
  3. Continue with Onboarding as described in Complete the Onboarding stage.

If you already have companies, skip this and select one in the left sidebar.

Select or create a company

Select

  1. In the left Companies sidebar, search if needed.
  2. Click a company card (status and % complete show on the row).
  3. The stage strip and workspace load for that company. Selection is remembered for the team.

Create

  1. Click + (Create New Company).
  2. In Create New Company Implementation, enter:
    • Company Name *
    • Implementation ID * (or Auto Generate)
    • Optional Company Number (1–255), Description, Start Date, Target Go-Live Date
  3. Click Create Company.

Duplicate

  1. On a company row, open ⋯ → Duplicate.
  2. In Duplicate Company Implementation, adjust name/ID/dates as needed.
  3. Optionally enable Copy assignees and/or Copy due dates.
  4. Click Duplicate Company.

Copy details

  1. ⋯ → Copy Details (dialog title Copy Details).
  2. Choose Target Companies and Fields To Copy.
  3. Click Copy Details.

Edit or delete

ActionWhere
Edit⋯ → Edit (rename/details)
Delete Company⋯ → delete → confirm Delete Company (cannot be undone)

Company create/duplicate/copy also exists on Company Tracker; the Playbook sidebar uses the same dialogs.

Move between stages

With a company selected:

  1. Use the top stage strip (numbered rings + stage titles), or
  2. Change the phase query when deep-linking (the UI sets this when you click a stage).

Stage order: OnboardingKickoffCode Format DesignCore ConfigurationIntegrationsTesting & TrainingBeginning Balance DecisionsReadiness AssessmentGo-LiveStabilization.

Rings show progress; a check means the stage is complete. You can open a later stage before earlier ones are finished—the strip does not hard-lock progression—but stage guides assume you complete prerequisites for that stage’s required items.

Work inside a stage

Most stages use a step shell:

ControlBehavior
Step headerCurrent step title; badge Step N of M; progress bar
Step tilesNamed steps for the stage; checkmark when complete
BackPrevious step
NextAdvance; often marks the current step reviewed if it was incomplete
Final buttonStage-specific label (for example Complete kickoff, Complete stage handoff, Complete Core Configuration)

Edits in stage workspaces generally save as you go (API persistence). The footer hint explains when Next will mark a step reviewed or flush pending edits.

Use the right Required items list to jump to incomplete or blocked items for the active stage. Expand that sidebar if it is collapsed (progress chip and item icons remain visible when collapsed on wide layouts).

Do the stage-specific forms, decisions, and checklists in the matching stage guide—not here.
