TUDS Installation Prerequisites

Complete these items before you configure an Azure Bridge or expect Mission Control features that read Vista SQL data. For the full cross-product view, see the Robonauts Setup Requirements Matrix.

Who should do this​

  • Team captains and IT admins standing up a new TUDS team.
  • Anyone preparing SQL connection details and network approvals for Azure Bridge.

Required before setup​

  1. Mission Control access (Captain or admin) You need a TUDS account with permission to open Team Settings. See Team Onboarding for Captains.
  2. Outbound HTTPS to tuds.ai Required for Mission Control in end-user browsers. See tuds.ai Connectivity.
  3. Vista SQL Server connection details Know the SQL Server host, port, database name, and login. See Vista SQL Access Overview.
  4. SQL credentials Create or confirm a least-privilege SQL login Azure Bridge will use. See Create SQL Account.
  5. Cloud SQL path (cloud customers only) TLS Database Endpoint or IPsec VPN must be available so TUDS-hosted Azure Bridge can reach SQL. See Cloud SQL Connectivity.
  6. Customer-side network allowlisting (if required) If your SQL environment restricts inbound connections, allow TUDS Azure Bridge egress before testing. See Azure Bridge Customer FAQ and Request Database Endpoint IP Whitelisting.
  7. Team subscription / entitlement Captains activate the team plan in Team Billing after users are added. See Team Onboarding for Captains.
  8. Azure Bridge configured in Team Settings Azure Bridge is TUDS-hosted — enter connection details in Team Settings → Connectors → Azure Bridge. See Azure Bridge Customer FAQ.

Not required for TUDS​

  • Windows bridge or tray host in your environment
  • Microsoft Excel
  • SAP Crystal Reports runtime
  • .NET 8 / .NET Framework 4.8 (on end-user browsers)
  • Vista client on every user workstation

Ready checklist​

  • Captain can sign in to Mission Control
  • SQL Server host, database, and credentials known
  • Cloud TLS/VPN path confirmed (if cloud)
  • Network allowlisting plan confirmed (if needed)
  • Outbound HTTPS to tuds.ai confirmed for Mission Control users
