Vista Client on Automation Host
TEDI drives the real Viewpoint Vista UI. The automation host must already have a working Vista client before you install TEDI.
Applies to
- TEDI — required
- TAD — optional/helpful for Vista admin forms (licenses, form security), not for Excel downloads themselves
- TERA — optional for some report lookup workflows; Crystal scheduling does not require Vista UI
What “usable” means for TEDI
- Vista is installed on the same Windows machine as TEDI
- A user can launch Vista and open expected modules/forms
- The machine stays available for scheduled automations (TEDI Windows Service keeps running even if the desktop app is closed)
