windows-host-requirements
Most Robonauts products that run locally need a Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit) host. Use this guide to choose the right machine for each product.
Applies to
- TUDS — SQL Bridge host
- TAD — installer host and Excel add-in host
- TERA — desktop app + Windows Service host
- TEDI — desktop app + Windows Service host (must also have Vista installed)
Baseline requirements
- Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
- Enough disk for the product install plus logs/exports
- Network path from the host to Vista SQL Server (direct, TLS Endpoint, or VPN)
- Admin rights to install software / Windows Services when required
Product notes
- TUDS SQL Bridge: Host should stay near SQL Server and have outbound HTTPS. See SQL Bridge Customer FAQ.
- TAD: Host needs desktop Excel. Shared network folder for the add-in is recommended for multi-user updates.
- TERA: Prefer an always-on server/workstation. Closing the desktop app does not stop the Windows Service.
- TEDI: Must be a machine where Viewpoint Vista is already installed and usable. Closing the desktop app does not stop the Windows Service.
