Changing the Server Name

VA Change Server Name updates stored server paths after a production refresh into a development or test environment.

Before you start

• You are working in a non-production database refreshed from production.
• Know the new server name/paths for PM templates and RP report locations.

Steps

1. Open VA Change Server Name.
2. Identify paths that still point at production.
3. Enter the development or test server name/path.
4. Save.

Notes

• Leaving production paths in a test database can overwrite or send files to the wrong server.
• Most often used for project management create/send templates and RP report location paths.
