Configuring EM Work Order Repair Types

EM Work Order Repair Types classify maintenance work for reporting. Assign the repair type on work-order items (not only the work-order header) so item-level reports can sort correctly. Code ≤10 characters; description ≤30.

Before you start​

  • Agree on the repair categories shop and finance will report (scheduled, warranty, accident, and similar).

Steps​

  1. Open EM Work Order Repair Types.
  2. Enter the repair type code (≤10) and description (≤30). Starter examples:
    • Scheduled Maintenance
    • Accident
    • Abuse
    • Warranty
    • Unscheduled
  3. Save.
  4. On work order entry/edit, assign the repair type on each work-order item that should carry it for reporting.
