Configuring GL Company Parameters

GL Company Parameters controls base options for the general ledger—audit tracking, how far ahead users can open months, and batch report attachments.

Before you start​

  • You have permission to change GL company settings.

Steps​

  1. Open GL Company Parameters.
  2. Enable audit options so you can research changes later.
  3. Set maximum number of open months. Use a high value (for example 99) in test; in live, limit to about 3 or 4 so users cannot open batches far into the future.
  4. Check Attached batch reports if you want posted-batch contents available for research.

Notes​

  • A high open-months value in production lets users create future-dated batches that disrupt period control.
