Configuring JC Company Parameters

JC Company Parameters sets company-level Job Cost rules: posting to closed jobs, phase code length, audit options, and GL interface detail.

Before you start​

  • Know whether soft-closed or hard-closed jobs may still receive cost.
  • Know your phase code format (for example 6-2-2) and character length.

Steps​

  1. Open JC Company Parameters.
  2. Set Allow Posting to Soft Closed Jobs and Allow Posting to Hard Closed Jobs per policy.
  3. Set the number of valid characters for phase codes.
  4. Enable audit options.
  5. Set interface detail levels for GL Cost, GL Revenue, and GL Closed tabs.
  6. Save.

Notes​

  • Hard-closed contracts generally cannot be reopened through standard Vista processes.
  • Phase character length must match how you enter phases on jobs.
