Configuring PR Craft Templates

PR Craft Templates hold job-specific craft overrides for earnings, deductions, and liabilities. Hierarchy: Craft → Craft Class → Craft Template → Craft Class Template (highest). Missing overrides inherit from the lower level.

Create a template master in PR Templates, then attach crafts on this form. Assign the template on JC Jobs so timecard entry picks up override rates automatically. Share one template across multiple same-rate jobs instead of one template per job.

Before you start​

  • The craft exists in PR Crafts.
  • A template number/description exists in PR Templates.
  • Standard craft add-ons, Ded/Liab, and classes with rates are already maintained (new templates inherit them).

Steps​

  1. In PR Templates, create a unique template number and description.
  2. Open PR Craft Templates. Enter Craft and Template (F4).
  3. Optionally override effective date, OT schedule, reciprocal agreements (None / Partial / Override), AU super min, add-ons, deductions/liabilities, and craft-class templates.
  4. Maintain only exceptions. New templates automatically inherit standard craft add-ons/deductions/liabilities and standard classes with rates.
  5. PR Template Copy (when cloning):
    • Copy from an existing Template or from Standard Crafts/Classes.
    • Choose All or Selected Craft.
    • Select items to copy: Pay Rates, Addon Earnings, Job Craft Items, Variable Earnings, Dedns/Liabs, Notes, and related options.
    • Copying into an existing template adds missing data only and does not overwrite existing rows. The destination description becomes automatic / non-editable.
  6. Assign the template on JC Jobs for every job that should use these override rates.
