Configuring PR Overtime Schedule
PR Overtime Schedule maintains daily overtime rules used by employee, craft, or job. Daily thresholds are 0-24 hours (example: 8 means OT after an 8-hour day; 0 means all hours are OT). Use multiple levels for premiums (example: OT after 8 hours, double time after 10.5).
There is no separate weekly-threshold field. Weekly behavior comes from day-of-week settings on the schedule. Shift-specific schedules can override standard rules.
Before you start
- OT (and double-time) earnings codes exist in PR Earnings Codes.
- PR Company Parameters Overtime Earnings Code is set (feeds Level 1 default).
- Decide whether schedules will be assigned on Job Master, Employee Master, Craft Master, and/or Craft Template.
Steps
- Open PR Overtime Schedule.
- Enter Schedule ID (0-255) and Description (up to 30 characters).
- For each level you need:
- Set the hour limit (0-24). Level 1 is required.
- Set OT Code to an earnings code from PR Earnings Codes. Level 1 initially defaults from PR Company Parameters Overtime Earnings Code.
- Configure day-of-week rows so weekly patterns emerge from daily rules (example five-day 10-hour schedule: 40 regular + 10 OT across the week via daily thresholds, not a separate weekly field).
- Create shift-specific schedules when shifts need different rules.
- Assign the schedule on Job Master, Employee Master, Craft Master, or Craft Template as used by your OT option hierarchy.
Notes
- Craft OT schedule and employee OT options must agree with how timecards are entered.
- Client labor-policy compliance is outside Vista; validate thresholds with payroll/legal before go-live.
