Configuring SM Call Type Categories

SM Call Type Categories group call types and assign colors so the SM Dispatch Board is easier to scan and prioritize.

Before you start​

  • Know which call types belong together (for example emergency vs. routine).
  • Choose distinct colors for each category.

Steps​

  1. Open SM Call Type Category.
  2. Create a category with a unique name.
  3. Select a color for the dispatch board.
  4. Assign call types to the category.
  5. Save and confirm the colors on the dispatch board.

Notes​

  • Similar colors for different categories are hard to distinguish on the board.
  • Leave call types unassigned only if you intentionally want them ungrouped.
