Configuring VA Custom Form Tabs

VA Custom Form Tabs adds tabs to forms that display a VA inquiry (SQL result) or a user-defined table.

Before you start​

  • Know the target form.
  • Have a tested SQL statement for inquiries, or an existing UD table to link.

Steps​

  1. Open VA Custom Form Tabs.
  2. Select the form that will get the tab.
  3. Choose a VA inquiry or a user-defined table link.
  4. For inquiries, enter the SQL that returns the grid.
  5. For UD tables, link the existing table to the form.
  6. Save.

Notes​

  • Poor SQL can slow forms—keep inquiries selective.
  • You can also attach custom tabs through VA Form Properties.
