Executing the PR Payroll Process
The PR Payroll Process is a critical step in the payroll workflow that calculates all necessary deductions and liabilities for employees. This process ensures accurate payroll execution by processing time cards and calculating federal, state, and local deductions.
Before you start
- All time cards must be entered for the pay period.
- Ensure the pay period is open and correctly set up.
Steps
- Ensure all time cards have been entered for the pay period.
- Open thePR Payroll Processform.
- Select the payroll group and pay period ending date.
- For the first processing of a pay period, select the 'All Employees' option so all employees, including those with no time, are processed.
- Click the 'Process' button to calculate all deductions and liabilities.
- Review the results on the payroll register and thePR Employee Pay Sequence Controlform.
- For subsequent processes, use the 'Employees with Changed Earnings or Overrides' option if adjustments to time cards are necessary.
- Process individual employees directly on thePR Employee Pay Sequence Controlform if needed.
Notes
- Ensure all employees are included in the first processing to avoid missing deductions for those with no time.
- Review calculations thoroughly to prevent errors in payroll execution.
