JC Job Copy
The JC Job Copy form allows users to duplicate an existing job setup to create a new job. This is for companies with consistent job setups, as it saves time and ensures consistency across job records.
Before you start
- An existing job to use as a template.
Steps
- Open theJC Job Copyform.
- Reference the source job that you want to copy.
- Enter the destination job number for the new job.
- Provide a new description for the destination job.
- Optionally, change the liability template, payroll state, and any contract-related information.
- Check the boxes for 'Contract Items' and 'Phases and Cost Types' so these details are copied over.
- Decide whether to copy the original estimates and contract amount, although this is not commonly done.
- Complete the process to create the new job with the copied details.
Notes
- The source job is correctly set up before copying, as any errors will be duplicated.
- Be cautious when copying original estimates and contract amounts, as this may not be suitable for all scenarios.
