JC Override Projections

JC Override Projections overrides projected costs by job / month and projected revenue by contract / month. These are higher-level monthly projections for WIP and earned-revenue reporting. They do not alter JC Cost Projections phase / cost-type detail.

Before you start

  • Know the Through Month you are overriding.
  • Jobs / contracts for that month exist. Soft-closed rows appear only when you enable Show Soft Close.
  • If Future / Included CO columns matter, confirm PM Document Types Include in Projections and PM Status IDs Projections Option (None / Display / Display & Calculate).
  • You have permission to override projections.

Steps

  1. Open JC Override Projections.
  2. Enter Through Month.
  3. Optionally enable Options > Show Soft Close to include status-2 jobs / contracts that have JCCD detail. This display option is independent of Allow Posting to Soft-Closed Jobs in Company Parameters.
  4. On the Cost tab (open jobs), review Previous Override, Current Detail Forecast / Projection, Original / Current Est Cost, Future / Included CO, Adjustment, Other Amount, and Project Manager. Enter overrides / adjustments.
  5. On the Revenue tab (contracts filtered by start date through the entered month), review Previous Override, Future CO, Current Contract / Projected Amount, Adjustment, and Other Amount. Enter overrides / adjustments.
  6. Optionally use File > Copy Cost/Revenue Overrides to copy the prior month onto every grid row (optionally including notes). Confirm carefully; this cannot be undone.
  7. Save.

Notes

  • Adjustment defaults from the new override versus the current detail / contract amount. Other Amount is optional and is not carried forward.
  • Soft Close display is independent of Allow Posting to Soft-Closed Jobs.
  • Future vs Included CO depend on PM Document Types and PM Status IDs projection settings.
  • The JC Work in Progress with Overrides report uses these overrides for percent complete / earned revenue with Trimble-documented fallbacks when overrides are blank.
