Managing HQ Groups

HQ Groups let multiple companies share the same master data (for example phase groups or tax codes) so you maintain it once.

Before you start

• Know which companies should share which masters versus keep separate groups.

Steps

1. Open HQ Company Setup for the company.
2. On Additional Info, review the eight group assignment fields.
3. Assign each field to a shared group or a company-specific group.
4. Use HQ Groups (and the related master forms) to maintain shared group data; changes apply to every company that uses that group number.

Notes

• Never share group numbers between live and test companies.
• Separate legal entities still need separate company numbers even when they share groups.
