Managing HR Resource Benefits

HR Resource Benefits assigns benefit codes (medical, dental, vision, and others) to a resource and controls which lines update Payroll.

Before you start

• Benefit codes exist.
• Dependents are entered when the plan requires them (Resource Dependents).

Steps

1. Open HR Resource Benefits.
2. Select the resource and assign benefit codes.
3. The employee is dependent sequence 0; add dependent sequences (1, 2, …) when the plan covers dependents.
4. Assign deduction and liability codes on the benefit lines as required.
5. Check Update Payroll on lines that should send to PR.
6. Enter an effective date and keep the benefit record active.
7. Save, then run HR Update Benefit/Salary to PR when you are ready to sync.

Notes

• Inactive lines or missing effective dates are skipped on the PR update.
