Managing RP Report Locations

RP Report Locations stores custom Crystal Report files. Most companies use the custom location for company-specific designs.

Before you start​

  • You have permission to access report locations.
  • Crystal Reports Editor is installed on your computer.
  • Your computer has an ODBC connection to the cloud server.
  • A custom report title exists in RP Report Titles (created with Copy Report).

Steps​

  1. Open RP Report Locations.
  2. Open the custom folder.
  3. Retrieve the custom report file and save it to your computer.
  4. Edit the report in Crystal Reports.
  5. Upload the updated file to the custom folder (drag and drop, or right-click upload).
  6. In RP Report Titles, confirm the report points to the custom location.
  7. Click Update Design in RP Report Titles.

Notes​

  • Create custom reports with Copy Report in RP Report Titles. Do not add files here unless you are building a report from scratch.
  • After every upload that changes the design, click Update Design on RP Report Titles.

Tips​

  • Include company initials in custom file names so they are easy to identify.
