Setting Up CM Company Parameters
CM Company Parameters controls how Cash Management posts to the general ledger and what audit options are available.
Before you start
- The HQ company must exist in Vista and have a valid GL company code before you configure CM Company Parameters.
- Know the GL company and journal used for cash activity.
- Decide the GL interface level (Detail is recommended).
Steps
- Open CM Company Parameters.
- Select the GL company.
- Choose the journal for cash transactions.
- Set GL interface level to Detail unless you have a specific reason not to.
- Enable audit options so changes are tracked.
- Strongly recommended for go-live: check Allow changes to statement beginning balance so you can set the opening balance for the first statement(s). Turn this OFF once live processing starts.
- Check Attached batch reports if you want posted-batch audit attachments.
Notes
- Changing the GL interface level affects future transactions only.
- Keep audit options on for reconciliation and support research.
- During some CM bring-live reconciliation procedures, GL interface level may be temporarily set to No Update to prevent posting while outstanding items are loaded, then switched to the live level (Detail) with a journal once reconciliation is complete.
