Setting Up EM Locations

EM Locations add optional location detail on equipment beyond department-level tracking—useful on large sites with frequent moves.

Before you start

• Decide whether departments alone are enough; use locations only if you need finer tracking.

Steps

1. Open EM Locations.
2. Create each location (yard, shop area, job site zone, and so on).
3. Assign locations on equipment records and use location transfer when equipment moves.
4. Save.

Notes

• Extra locations add maintenance overhead—use them when transfers must be tracked in detail.
