Setting Up JC Project Managers

JC Project Managers creates and maintains the Job Cost project-manager list. Assign managers to jobs on JC Jobs. Use them to sort or restrict reports by manager and to initialize cost projections for a selected manager's jobs.

Before you start​

  • Know which managers will be assigned on jobs and have their contact details ready.
  • You have permission to maintain JC project managers.

Steps​

  1. Open JC Project Managers.
  2. Enter a Project Manager number (up to 10 digits).
  3. Enter Name (up to 30 characters) and contact fields as needed: Phone, Fax, Mobile Phone, Pager, Email / Internet (up to 20 characters on phone-style fields where Trimble documents that limit).
  4. Save.
  5. Assign the manager to jobs in JC Jobs (Job Master).

Notes​

  • Project managers are not validated against the Payroll employee file. They exist only for JC / job assignment and reporting.
  • Assignment is primarily informational (report filter / cost projection init by PM). It does not drive AP, PR, or other posting logic by itself.
