Setting Up PR Craft Class Templates

PR Craft Class Templates are the most detailed level for craft/class pay rates, add-ons, deductions (including pre-tax), and liabilities. Template-level values override craft and class. Enter only overrides. Use 0.00 to explicitly exclude a rate that would otherwise inherit.

Before you start

• Craft and template are associated in PR Craft Templates.
• Class exists in PR Craft Classes.
• Know which rates, add-ons, and Ded/Liab rows are true exceptions versus inherited standards.

Steps

Entry paths

1. Open the form from one of:
   • Main Menu: enter Craft, Class, and Template (craft/template must already be associated in PR Craft Templates).
   • PR Craft Classes: Craft/Class prefilled; enter Template.
   • PR Craft Templates: Craft/Template prefilled; enter Class.

Prevailing wage override

2. Override Class Prevailing Wage enables prevailing-wage fields on the template. Leave unchecked to inherit from PR Craft Classes. The option is disabled unless capped codes exist for the craft.
3. Calculation methods: Standard, Cash Fringe Factored, Generous Fringe #1/#2, Constant Fringe.
   • Cash Fringe Factored uses Old/New Total Wage.
   • Other methods use Old/New Basic Hourly plus Fringe.
   • Craft Effective Date selects which rate set applies.

Follow-on detail

4. After the template header, configure pay rates, variable earnings, add-on earnings, deductions/liabilities, and allowances for this Craft + Class + Template combination.
5. Save. Confirm a job that uses the parent craft template picks up the class-level overrides on a test timecard.
