Setting Up PR Race Codes

PR Race Codes set up race codes for reporting. Values are validated on PR Employees and HR Resources when entering employee race. Custom numbers/letters and descriptions are allowed. Each code needs an EEO Category for DOL EEO and DOT reporting.

Before you start​

  • Confirm EEO category meanings with your compliance team.
  • If you file eMars ReportID 1315 (U.S.), plan one-character race code values.

Steps​

  1. Open PR Race Codes.
  2. Create each code and description.
  3. Assign EEO Category using valid values:
    • A, B, H, I, M, N, P, W (short meanings are defined in Trimble Field Definitions; use the labels your compliance team standardizes).
  4. For eMars ReportID 1315 (U.S.), use one-character race code values.
  5. Assign codes on employees (and HR Resources when HR is in use).
