Setting Up PR Templates

PR Templates create the template master used for craft templates: job-specific override rates for earnings, deductions, and liabilities. Assign the template on JC Jobs. Multiple jobs can share one rate table. Use templates only when standard craft/class rates need overrides. Override rates apply automatically on timecard entry for that job.

Field-level craft template setup (hierarchy, inheritance, reciprocal agreements, PR Template Copy) lives on Configuring PR Craft Templates. Keep this page as the short pointer for template masters and JC Jobs assignment.

Before you start

• Crafts and classes with standard rates exist in PR Crafts and PR Craft Classes.
• You know which jobs share the same override rate table.

Steps

1. Open PR Templates. Create a unique template number and description.
2. Attach crafts and maintain overrides in PR Craft Templates (and PR Craft Class Templates when class-level exceptions are needed).
3. Assign the template on JC Jobs for every job that should use those override rates.
4. Enter a test timecard on a templated job and confirm rates, add-ons, and Ded/Liab overrides.
