Setting Up UD User Validation

UD User Validation restricts data entry to valid values—especially important for custom fields from the VA custom field wizard.

Before you start​

  • Know which fields need validation and what values are allowed.

Steps​

  1. Open UD User Validation.
  2. Define validation rules that match your business rules.
  3. Apply them to the target fields (including custom fields).
  4. Test entry so invalid values are rejected and valid values succeed.

Notes​

  • Without validation, users can type anything into custom fields.
  • Pair with the VA custom field wizard when you add new custom fields.
