SL Retainage Adjustment

SL Retainage Adjustment changes retainage percentages on open subcontract regular and change-order items for one JC company and job, without opening each subcontract in Entering Subcontracts or Managing SL Worksheet. You can update Work Completed, Stored Materials, or both.

This form updates percents only — there is no dollar-amount field, no batch, and no audit list. Help does not describe invoice/AP impact on these pages.

Before you start​

  • Know JC Co# and Job.
  • Retainage percents for Work Completed and Stored Materials were originally set on regular and change-order items in SL Subcontract Entry.
  • HQ Master Audit rows are written only if SL Entry / Change Orders is checked in Configuring SL Company Parameters.

Steps​

  1. Open SL Retainage Adjustment.
  2. Enter JC Co# (company where adjustments apply).
  3. Enter Job.
  4. Process All Open Subcontracts on this Job — checked: all open subcontracts on the job; unchecked: enter Beginning Subcontract and Ending Subcontract.
  5. Change Retainage Types — Work Completed only, Stored Materials only, or Both.
  6. Update Retainage % on all Items — checked: all items; unchecked: only items whose current retainage % equals Update Only if Current Retainage % Equals.
  7. Enter New Retainage % (replaces the current percent on selected items).
  8. Run the update. Selected subcontracts are processed immediately — no batch to validate or post, and no audit list is created.

Notes​

  • Scope is only open subcontracts on the specified JC company and job (optional subcontract range and optional “current % equals” filter).
