Headquarters overview
The Headquarters (HQ) module holds shared setup used across Vista companies: company records, groups, payment terms, tax codes, compliance, reviewers, and related reference data. Set many of these once and share them instead of repeating setup per company.
Typical flow
- Create companies in HQ Company Setup and assign groups (vendors, materials, tax codes, and so on).
- Configure shared codes: payment terms, units of measure, frequency codes, hold codes, and tax codes.
- Set up compliance, reviewers, materials, and contacts as your modules require.
- Use HQ Batch Control when a batch is stuck or you need posted-batch attachments.
Before you use HQ
- Each legal entity has its own company number.
- Live and test companies never share the same group numbers.
