Reports overview

The Reports (RP) module manages standard and custom Crystal Reports in Vista. Use it to copy standard reports safely, store custom report files, and set default report parameters.

Typical flow​

  1. Find the standard report in RP Report Titles.
  2. Use Copy Report to create a custom report (do not change the standard report).
  3. Retrieve, edit, and upload the file in RP Report Locations.
  4. In RP Report Titles, click Update Design and, if needed, Update Parameters.
  5. Set shared defaults in RP Report Parameters.

Before you use RP​

  • You have access to the RP forms.
  • To change report designs, Crystal Reports Editor is installed and your computer has an ODBC connection to the cloud server.
  • Agree on a naming convention for custom report titles and file names (company initials are common).
