Viewpoint Administration overview

The Viewpoint Administration (VA) module manages users, security, site settings, and system customizations (custom fields, tabs, buttons, and labels).

Typical flow

1. Configure VA Site Settings (security admin, auto logout).
2. Create role-based VA Security Groups, then assign users in VA User Profile.
3. Grant form, report, attachment, and data security at the global / group level.
4. Add custom fields, combo boxes, tabs, and buttons as needed; run VA View Generator after updates.

Before you use VA

• Prefer security groups over user-level security.
• Grant form and report security at the Global level when possible.
• Menu administrator and form administrator rights are required for custom field work.
